Byfield Bowls Club looks forward to welcoming new and old players in the 2025 season - come along to our Enrolment Day and find out more.

Before the Green opens for the summer season, you could always keep your "eye in" and have a practice playing indoors bowls, on our short mat carpet, upstairs in the Clubhouse. Just turn up, on a Friday afternoon about 1.50pm for a 2 o'clock start. Mike will be there to offer guidance and there are some bowls you can borrow and it's only £3 per a session. You are welcome to just have a "try" the first session is free. Hot drinks/biscuits are provided and it's very social.

At Byfield, you can try bowls for free with us - you don’t need any special kit, just some flat shoes, and to get started you can always borrow some bowls. We welcome players of all ages and abilities and offer a friendly environment in which to learn, play and enjoy the game. Off the green, the club hosts fun activities and social events including quiz nights, lunches and formal dinners.

Byfield Bowls Club was founded in 1985, and is situated in the centre of the village of Byfield, South Northamptonshire, between the towns of Daventry and Banbury.

The Club is very fortunate, having an excellent six-rink outdoor green. Our clubhouse the (Russell Pavilion) has both ladies and men’s changing rooms, a bar and a balcony with amazing views overlooking the sports ground and church. We are often envied by other visiting clubs because of our scenic position.
